Hello,

I have this 15 year old Whirlpool Side by Side Refrigerator, I noticed recently drip water out of the Ice Dispenser. And after checking it for more days, I noticed Freezer stops cooling around 8PM and the next day everything is Frozen. Freezer works just fine until 8 PM every day.

Verified below things with no luck:
- Condenser & run capacitor seems to be working,
- I can see the Fan running in the back.
- Cleaned the dust from the back and below the Kick panel in the front.
- Evaporator Fan runs and coils around Evaporator Fan are clean, No Ice molds or Frost

Can you please provide a suggestion on what to check or a Part that I could try our based on my symptoms?

Thank you.

I need a model number to know how your appliance is built.

It might be getting stuck in defrost. The old mechanical timers would do that when they got old. I have no idea if yours has one or not without a model number.

I'm afraid I don't know very much about this particular design.

Its defrost is controlled by a circuit board and a smaller power board. You might be able get the small board (not cheap) $260.

The bigger board $213 if you can find one. WPW10120820

I've heard there are places that will rebuild the boards. I'm not sure if that's the problem, but the problem occurring at the same time every day, makes me think timer. Sorry I can't help more.
