My GE Profile range is setup for propane and I’m having issues getting the oven to light. Initially we found that it took 15-20 minutes for the oven to heat up after setting the bake temperature, all because the burner was not lighting. I replaced the igniter first, then the oven control board, and then the gas safety valve trying to fix the issue. The broiler and oven have the same issue, the igniter glows bright orange and I don’t smell gas while waiting for it to light. If I light one of the stove top burners the oven or broiler will then light. There’s almost nothing in common between the stove top burners and oven so I’m not really sure where to go next.

Thanks for your comments. There is a shut off valve at the regulator and it’s open, there’s no issues at all with the stove top burners.

It’s interesting to note that when I replaced the gas safety valve the oven lit Just fine on the first test. After that it hasn’t worked as expected. I have suspected the regulator, as it’s the only part that’s common to both the stove top burners and the oven/broiler. Just can’t make any sense out of lighting the stove top burners to get the oven to light.

Update, I did find the gas shut off valve closed on the regulator just like Ohm said. After opening the shut off valve I’m finding the same problem with the oven, it will not light unless I light a stove top burner. The broiler is working fine now, it lights without having to light a stove top burner.
