Not sure if the age of this system.

Started as a low battery in the thermostat so we replaced it. After that it stopped working, no heating or cooling. Fan doesn't work either. A click can be heard but it never cuts on.

We decided to try another set of batteries, no luck. After looking around some it seems we've had a visitor come chew through a wire. I have no clue what this part is or where to get a new one. How do we go about fixing this? Calling a technician is not an option right now.

A couple of pictures of the chewed wires and the ac that they go to would help.

Is this a whole house ac or a through the wall ac?

Have you asked for help from a repair service?

How did you solve this problem anyway? It's just that I have a small room and it's always hot there. When I bought an air conditioner, I had a similar problem as you. However, unlike you, I didn't try to solve this problem myself somehow and turned to air conditioning installation engineers for help. It's just that a detail that one of my employees broke cannot be changed by my efforts.
I recently installed another air conditioner to avoid losing money, and I took a two-year warranty. Perhaps you should have done the same.
