Hello AP forum.
I need some help on removing the top of my Thermador gas cooktop (SGVC3601) so I can replace the spark module. It is an old cook-n-vent model with four gas burners, center griddle and down draft venting.

I have successfully removed all the burner caps and the burner control knobs.

The top lifts but seems to be stuck or attached to area with the control knobs. I cannot identify any logical connection points to release the top around the control knobs.

There are two screws on the bottom of the unit -- which when unscrewed -- allows the top to lift higher. But, I have identified those screws hold the gas line/gas value hardware.

So, I am open to suggestons or if anyone knows the trick to remove the top.

Much appreciated.
