I have a GSS20IEMD refrig. I'm replacing the Main Board WR55X10656 and the heater WR51X10101 but I noticed on the main board instructions not to use on dual evaporator. My refrig has a single element and the new heater has a dual will the main board still work with the dual heater. OR has GE updated to a dual element ?

Evaporator (#228 on the diagram) is a cooling coils and it has nothing to do with the heater (#230). The old single heater has been redesigned by GE to give a better defrost cycle.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for GE GSS20IEMDWW | AppliancePartsPros.com
