I have a Maytag Epic Z front-load washer (MHWZ400TQ02). I ran the clean cycle yesterday, and noticed water leaking from what appears to be out the front door.
The clean cycle completed okay. I dried everything out underneath, but now when starting a load, the GFCI immediately trips upon starting the wash cycle (seems to be as soon as the solenoid opens). I attempted to run diagnostics, but as soon as it tries to start the first step, it also trips the GFCI.
Any thoughts as to what part may have been damaged and/or is causing the current imbalance?

Update - cleaned the pump strainer and impeller. Lots of gunk and sludge. Back together and same issue. Update 2: plugged into non-GFCI outlet and am able to run diagnostics. I'm doing that now. Pump sounds terrible, so may try replacing that next. Edited by user Sunday, November 8, 2020 11:28:15 AM(UTC)
