Hi folks.

I've replaced the spider on my Samsung washer twice now. The first time, I found that the spider shaft was bent a few degrees (probably from my wife washing heavy blankets). After the fix, I got about four years out of it. The second time, I got a couple of weeks. It started banging around again.

I just tore it down again and see nothing wrong. The shaft is straight, the shocks seem okay, and the basket isn't out-of-round. The only thing I found was that I'm missing the wave washer for the spider shaft - where it seats against the bearing.

I highly doubt that that's what's causing the imbalance, but should I worry about not having it? It may have never had it on this specific model, but I saw it on the repair video of a slightly different model.

Any thoughts?

Also, feel free giving some advice as to what else may be wrong with this thing.

Thanks.
