Several days ago, I replaced the intake valves. Still, no water. I followed your previous counsel given to a client by replacing a fuse in the ront lower left of washer. It worked great...for one load. Next morning, no water again. Is this narrowing down to a lid switch failure? How to I access that part? Please help.

The lid switch fixes the problem. first take off the front cover of the washer then you can see all the things inside. on the left side on the back you can see a connector to the lid switch. disconnect it. then pull the washer back on top you can see some screws. take those off and the lid switch will fall. the tricky part is putting your hands behind the washer barrel and removing the cable to the lid switch. its pretty simple but it does take some patience. good luck.

I should mention also that while you wait for the switch to arrive you can change the fuse and before you open the lid you should turn the washer off(by pulling the switch) and then open. then put your clothes in turn it on and wash. but remember every time you open the lid turn it off first so the fuse wont blow. when you get the lid switch this wont matter. just a tip

Mr. mrjohno, you are the men! Anyone reading this before you buy any valve or lid switch try what mrjohno suggested ... change the fuse on the left edge of the front side of the machine. It totally worked for me. Thanks again

I did not have to replace the switch assembly. A very easy fix.

remove two screws from bottom panel. remove lower panel. fuse is fastened by clips (much like the cylindrical glass fuses in your car). Clip a new fuse in. we used a 2amp 250V instead of the previous 1amp 250V and VOILA! washer works fine

Not sure if your model has the same fuse, but take a look

good luck, love this forum, thanks to all the experts who post here

My Maytag stackable washer/dryer is having the same issue. The dryer works but the washer won’t fill. I’ve seen people post about filling it manually but I’m afraid to try it because if it doesn’t work after filling it manually, how do I get the water out? I’m not sure if it’s the lid switch assembly or the fuse in the front panel that mrjohno is talking about. Either way I’m not sure how to fix it even if I had the right part. Are there any YouTube videos that might be helpful? Model# LSE7806ACE

Replacing the fuse fixed my Maytag stackable. Glad I found this thread!

Note I already replaced the water inlet and hoses - which was fine since the hoses needed replacing anyway and cost more than the water valve.
