The washer has started making this grinding sound during agitation (quick video link attached.) Makes sound even if no clothes loaded. Everything else is working OK.

We never got any answers from anyone.
We took off the top and front, examined everything we could find information for that might be causing the problem. There are YouTube videos showing things to check.
That left the center assembly, which we could only find a replacement for about $140, since that was the only thing left to check. The washer is hardly worth that (we bought it at year end clearance 6 years ago for $300.) Having a technician fix it was going to be more than $300.

So we put it back together, leveled it, and figured we'd use it until it dies. We still use it twice a day at least, and 5 months later it runs fine, just noisy, especially with heavier loads. And it's even become quieter overall, a dull grind now.

Thanks for the response. I am probably going to take the same approach as you. Not worth fixing.
