Hi, I have a Whirlpool washer model LBR5432PQ0. Was working until it hit the rinse cycle and then stopped full of water. There is a ticking sound coming from the timer box when the lid is closed (stops when open) and try to put it in any cycle. Pull the knob out ticking starts, push in and it stops. I made sure the drain pump is clear and the impeller is not jammed with anything. Also, I ensured the (3) hoses are not clogged. I tested the lid switch with a meter and 100% certain it works based on checking continuity. The motor coupling is fine. I removed water and started it up and puts water in. Please advise on what may be the problem. A big thanks in advance!

Sounds like the timer has gone bad. Unfortunately, this part has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available.
