Washer intermittently partially fills then stops, meaning it won't advance to agitate. Sometimes does this on initial fill, sometimes when filling to rinse. Can get it to agitate by advancing the timer and pushing start. Can't seem to figure this out. Control board is expensive and I don't want to guess what's wrong

I have the same problem. Seems to happen most often on delicate cycle. Tub fills and then stops. Not sure if it is 50% full or 100%, just know that it stops and does not proceed. One difference from your issue is that I have only noticed this during the initial tub fill, not during rinse fills.
