The dryer started making a noise which sounds like a very loud rubbing of vibration noise that is relatively consistent when the dryer is in use. I've pulled it apart and the blower fan, tension wheel and motor appear to be solid - no looseness or squeaks when i turn them, or push/pull them. While looking at the rear bearing on the drum, it appear that the bearing (ball) attached to the drum has some grooves in the side, and the plastic seat that is attached to the rear wall also appears to have some grooves in it. I feel pretty comfortable that the likely culprit of the noise is just vibration from the seat and bearing having grooves. Am i completely wrong here, is there anything else I should should look at and do these need to be replaced or are grooves typical and i just need to add new grease? It was pretty dry and Im not sure what type of grease, although I read lithium grease is the type I should use.
Thanks for reading and responding (if you respond).

If the bearing parts have grooves in them they are worn quite a bit and should be replaced. Use Hi temp lithium grease when putting the new parts into the dryer. Use this grease sparingly however.
