The lights on the front of my refrigerator were flashing and the ice cube door was consistently opening and closing, so I replaced the high voltage control board which solved the issue, but when I went to program the "personality code" of 1411 into the new board (part# 12920710), it did not accept the code (it beeped), so I found a new code on-line (0302) and the board accepted it, but now my ice maker is not working. Is there a new code that I should use with this board that turns on the ice maker. When I perform service test 192, with the fridge door closed it says "off". Additionally, service test 193 which should toggle the ice maker on and off is unavailable. The fridge does not even display 193 as an option.

If anyone knows the correct code, please help.

Thanks

You got the wrong part. Looks the same just different part numbers. The correct part number is W10310240.
Your welcome.

I installed my new board in our Maytag refrigerator and COULDN'T get it programed until I did the steps WITHOUT a pause and having someone read the steps to me after we rehearsed it. These steps have to be done without a pause between them. If you pause, it will go to H20 or ICE when pressing the refrige temp (-) & (+). Programming Mode: NOTE: The Program Code is located on the Serial Plate on this unit after the word Code (ours was 0302 which seems common). 1. Press and hold the Door Alarm Keypad. 2. Press and hold Freezer Temperature DOWN /- Keypad within 2 seconds. 3. Release the Door Alarm Keypad and wait 3 seconds you continue pressing the Freezer Temperature DOWN /- Keypad . 4. The control will display PE with no 0000 to indicate the programming mode. 5. Entry is confirmed by releasing the Freezer Temperature DOWN /- Keypad and then re- pressing the Freezer Temperature DOWN /- Keypad once more. [[ UNLIKELY EVENT this #6 probably won't happen, move to #7... 6. The control will display the current Program CODE. This value should be validated with the Program CODE printed on the unit serial plate. NOTE: If the Program CODE is correct, the Programming Mode is exited by pressing Door Alarm Keypad for 3 seconds. Again this step probably won't happen, skip 6 and go to 7 ]] 7. Press the Refrigerator Temperature UP /+ Keypad or Refrigerator Temperature DOWN /- Keypad to change the digit value with each key press. 8. The decimal point indicates the selected digit. Press the Freezer Temperature UP /+ Keypad to select the next digit. 9. Once the desired Program CODE is entered, press and hold the Freezer Temperature DOWN /- Keypad until the Program CODE begins flashing indicating it has been saved. NOTE: If you attempt to enter an invalid Program CODE the control will not save the new code, but will beep. (The unit will NOT run with a Program CODE of 0000 - or in our case the refrigerator and freezer just keep running and getting colder and colder). Once the Program CODE has been saved the Programming Mode is exited by pressing any key. If the new code is incorrect this process should be repeated. The Programming mode can be exited at any time by pressing Door Alarm key for 3 seconds or will exit if unattended for four minutes.
