I have a whirlpool washer LSB6200PQ1. it fills but wont agitate and makes noise. When placed on the spin cycle , it drains but wont spin and makes noise again.

Sounds like the coupling between the motor and transmission shafts is broken. You will have to unplug machine, remove cabinet, and then remove water pump from the motor, then unplug motor and remove it from the transmission. You will see a 3 prong plastic piece on the shaft of the motor, and another one on the shaft of the transmission. And, a rubber coupling that both insert into so the motor can turn the transmission shaft. If the pins broke off of one of them, or if one of them cracked in the center and no longer grips the shaft, it wont be able to make transmission turn anymore. Part number from FSP is 285753A

Probably the coupling. There is a video on the page with the part.
