How long is it running? If it really is starting anf stopping the compressor that often and the thermistor has been replaced (which one by the way?), then I would lean towards a main control board. Hard to say for sure without testing input voltage from the board to the inverter though.

it runs for 20 about seconds then stops and starts again. I replaced the thermistor that is on the back wall inside the refrigerator side. Is there another?

There is at least one for freezer temp. Also may be one on the evaporator as well. Without testing them for ohms, there's no way to know if they are the issue or the control board. There are two wires running from the control board to the inverter that you can take a DC voltage reading on to determine if it's working. I would lean heavily towards the main control board.

You wire 3ph power into the inverter & connect it to the compressor.
As this is an independents test of the compressor you cant run it for long without the system operating as it can be running with valves closed so you need to keep watch with force gauges. But all you are looking for is for the compressor to start & run without unnecessary amps & that only actually takes a few seconds.
