my matag is quite old but still very much needed and we are having a problem with it.

after a load finishes, we have found that there is water trickling into the bin. eventually it will overfill and start leaking out. we had to turn off the water to the machine.

i had a repair guy out that spent a whopping 2.7 seconds at the house. all he did was unscrew the panel and told me its the water pressure switch, but they want $230 to replace it. i could almost buy a new washer for that much, so wanted to be sure if anyone knows for certain that is indeed the part that is needed?

any help is greatly appreciated!

Does the water stop trickling in if you unplug the washer?

If the water still leaks in, its the water valve. Its not that expensive and fairly simple to change out. Don't forget to watch the video.
