I'm getting error codes E01 and F09 during the wash cycle, which is a "long drain" error. The drain pump and the water level pressure switch are the parts associated with these errors. I've already cleaned out the drain hose. I hear the pump and I hear the water draining but it's an incomplete drain. The door remains locked so I have to unplug the washer, wait, then plug it back in and hope it drains and the door unlocks. Then I have to start a drain & spin cycle. It's getting progressively worse, I have to go through this routine twice to get through a load and get the door unlocked at the end. I hear the pump and I hear water draining, and the water drains during the spin cycle, so the pump works to an extent. If the pump is bad, would it work at all? Is there an accessory part to the pump that's not mentioned in the Maytag troubleshooting guide, or is it just that the pump needs to be replaced?

I took the pump filter out and it was really clogged. Now that the pump and all the hoses are clean, it works just fine. It started acting up just before it turned two years old, so now we know we need to clean all the hoses and the pump at least every 18 months, ideally every 12 months.
