Have an LG Front Loading Washer. Works perfect until the spin cycle starts. Sound like tub is grinding against something. In the last couple of days it starts with a grind and now is banging very loudly. Inside drum seems to be stable with no extracurricular movement. I am afraid to continue using it. I have a little experience at this but not with this make and model. Can anyone help?

Open the door and with the stainless tub empty put your finger at the top of the rim and push up. if the stainless tub moves independent of the outer tub (you will see the gap decrease near the top) then the spider (support arm) is broken. This can be purchased @ LG 4434ER0002D Spider - AppliancePartsPros.com this link also includes a video.
If the tub is firm and doesn't move independent of the outer tub then the bearings may be bad LG 4280FR4048L Bearing - AppliancePartsPros.com and LG 4280FR4048E Bearing - AppliancePartsPros.com these links also include a repair video.

Also I would recommend if you have to replace the spider to go ahead and replace the bearings while you have it apart. Helps not having to repeat steps later. Just my opinion.
