GE washer WJRE5550K2WW will not spin. Attempted multiple washing load size options and washer refuses to spin. The washer fills and soaks but displays an error code of Locked Rotor (6 blinks). The motor and all components move freely, so nothing is locked. I reset the error code and motor. I replaced the pressure switch, reset the motor until the code cleared and it still refuses to spin. I replaced the fuse and the washer was able to enter the wash cycle for a few minutes and then stopped, same error code displaced. I attempted to reset the motor/error code and reattempt the to run a light wash but it would not spin or agitate. I'm running out of components to replace before I have to decide on spending $230 on a new motor. please help.

6 flashes – This means that the motor cannot turn. Clear the code and if the problem still exists follow these instructions. To check, this first remove the belt and attempt to turn the big pulley. If it turns freely both ways replace the motor. If the big pulley, is stuck the shifter needs to be replaced.
