I'm not sure about the actual age of the washer. I just bought it on craigslist after moving into a house for the first time from an apartment. After the first use, super water level selected and it's leaking! I took off the front and watched it without any clothing in it and it didn't leak. Then I put a load in it and water spilled from the flood hose during the agitation cycle. So I let it drain and tried again at large water level. (choose from small large and super). This time, no water spilling out of the flood hose.

I've followed everything on this list: GE Washer Leaking Repair Guide and found no fault in anything listed here.

However, when the tub is empty of clothing and filled with water set to super, the water level does rise above the top level of holes. Following the above linked guide I unplugged the washer from the power after seeing it go slightly (a cm or two) above the top level of holes, the water shut off after a second or two, then when plugged back in, the water did not continue running.

EDIT: I forgot to include that the agitator doesn't spin. I haven't been able to find any guides like the leak troubleshooting linked above for the agitator, so if anyone has any ideas, I would be very grateful. Thank you.

It sounds like the pressure switch hose or box could be clogged with debris. If the hose is completely clean (no black moldY stuff) then sometimes you can get chunks floating around in the box it attaches too. To clean it out I typically use an unwound paperclip on the hose and a turkey baster on the box side almost like a plunger. With the turkey baster try squirting some detergent and water through it to flush it out. As for the agitator... GE machines sometimes end up with a stripped agitator bell. That would cause a no agitation scenario. Hope this is informative.

This info does help. Thank you. Just for clarity, is this the part on the left side near the bottom that we're talking about cleaning?

Yes should be a rubberish hose attached to a small clear box that juts out from the putter tub
