Hi everyone,
I'm getting a sound when ever the washer agitates. I can push down lightly on the agitator and the sound stops. If I have the agitator completely off the sound is gone. Tried replacing the agitator but no luck. Any suggestions what it could be? Below is a video.

Thanks,
Mark

Since it's been 2 years since question was posted, I know it's too late to possibly help original poster, Mark, but I thought I'd add our fix for someone else that comes along. We have a Kenmore top loading washer (model 11020022011), and what Mark described is exactly what we had going on. When agitator was lightly pushed on, griding noise stopped. We had taken the agitator apart and dogs were fine. Noise (exactly like Mark's in his video) did not happen when agitator unit was completely removed, but did when any level of it was put back in. Here's what worked for us... There's a pulley on the underneath of the machine (if the attached photo didn't come thru, it is a plastic disc about 6" across, with a 5/8" center opening with cogs in it), and the nut holding it in was very loose. Tightened the nut and good to go!
