Fills agitates but dial stops before pump-out and spin. Advancing the timer and stopping on spin does nothing. Wonder if this is pump or the timer dial possibly. We recently replaced clutch and transmission thru this forum advice last summer and was working fine. Thanks anyone that might have some advice now!

This type of problem is likely in the timer assembly. A pump is normally able to do just that. It pumps the water out . If the belt is OK ,assuming it has a separate belt for the pump and it runs, the problem is likely the timer. If it has a rotary type timer dial it may not be allowing the contacts in the timer to pass 110 volts to the solenoid to dump the water and pump it out. Most of the older type timers use a small 110 volt motor on the back of the timer to move the shaft and cause the washer to go thru the cycle. The 110 volt motor has a bunch of small plastic gears that eventually wear out resulting in this type of problem.

It's not the timer. It needs a new lid switch. Common problem for whirlpool manufactured washers. The part number is 3949247 based on the model number you provided. You can test the theory by popping the backsplash off, unplugging the 3 wire lid switch harness where it goes down thru the top of the lid and jump the two wires that are not ground. The machine should then drain and spin. Please feel free to ask for more info if you need it!
