My GE Profile clothes washer seems to be trying to drain (even though there is no water in tub) but won't do anything else. No matter what mode I put it in, it will try to drain for about 2 mins, then turn itself off.

I checked the inlet screens and they are clean. I have the front panel off and there is a red diode at the top of the motor that blinks once every 2 seconds (on for a second, off for a second).

I tried finding a similar problem post but no joy. I can't get water to enter the tub no matter the setting, and can't get tub to spin/agitate no matter the setting, just that draining. Have tried changing the water temp and load size settings, no luck...

The transmission is not stuck (it spins freely by hand and belt is in great condition (replaced last yr)). I also reset the motor per the instructions on GE's website (unplug, wait a min, open close lid 6 times w/i 12 secs...) several times with no change.
Thanks for any advice.

I am having the same problem. It doesn't look like anybody replied. Did you fix it? If you did what was the problem?

this is what I did: pop the front panel off so you can see the tub assembly. On the left side of the tub, you should see a hose that goes from a pocket attached to the side of the tub. (can't think of a better word for it, it is about the size of a deck of cards and is about a third of the way from bottom of tub.) Anyways, this tube goes from a nipple on that pocket up along the tub to the water level relay sensor located on control panel on top. That sensor is stuck (at least it was 4 me). Here's what I did: pull that little hose straight up and off that nipple (it's not glued, just tight; u may need to work it off/up with a screw driver). Once you have it off, gently blow/suck into it (no, I am not f*ing with you). Each time you blow/suck, you should hear a click. That click is coming from that relay sensor. (If u don't hear that click, your sensor has to be replaced. Mine didn't. Blew/sucked, reset washer and worked fine). Don't forget to put that hose back on the nipple. I have had to do it once more since that time, worked again. Hope this helps.
