Same problem! F70 error code, door in locked position, 3 quick chrips on the Power button and nothing comes on. Whirlpool should be ashamed.. All they had to say (both times i called) was that "there has been no recall related to that issue..." I told them they should have someone monitoring the internet and they would learn a lot about their products and how to better serve the 'dopes' who shell out 2200 bux for a pair of DUETS... they are pretty but they dont work like they should. 3 years of moderate residential use and then need repairs for $500 bux is not my idea of quality... especially since it is evident that mine is not an isolated issue. Im pretty handy,,, may try taking the TOP cover off to take a look... have a scheduled appointment for monday as backup... thanks to all for posting, the fact that i found so many strings exactly 'on point' shows you that the design team at whirlpool needs a refresher course!!!!

I just had to register on this to say THANK YOU! It's Sunday here in New England and football is on and my washer goes and breaks down? So husband has friends over and I'm on my own. This is exactly what the problem was! CCU box was completely broken off the side wall and hanging and 1 wire was completely broken through and 2 more were hanging by a thread. Stripped em, spliced em, rigged up a duct tape fix for the broken plastic and back up and running within an hour. My husbands friends are quite impressed LOL!
