I notice that the fins on my agitator are 'open' on the underside; meaning that I have drawstrings from clothing going up under and getting twisted around the fins. I have never noticed this happening with any washers in the past. Today, I am thinking that maybe the fin design on this machine is different. So, what happened today? in the final spin of the load, strings were indeed caught up under the fins and eventually wrapped completely around the agitator. I noticed the final spin was taking a LONG time, and unusually noisy. I went in. the Dial was never advancing. I finally push the knob to stop the cycle...and found inside the items caught under the fins and around the agitator. I think that had I not heard the noise and noticed the length of time, that eventually the motor would have totally burned out. My question: can I get a replacement agitator that does not have these open gaps around the bottom? I have been noticing that clothing does get caught under here often; but this is the first time that I think the machine really would have exploded or burned out. Ideas? Suggestions? Really need help! Thanks in advance!!

Check you model number and re-post with the correct one. The one you posted does not come up and once we have the correct number we can see what you have and what the problem may be.

Hreis a link to a parts diagram for your machine.

Try changing out the agitator block, and you may need a new agitator.

I really think that the issue is that the fins of the agitator do not fully and completely attach at the bottom and this lets things get caught and trapped under the fins....then the things wrap around the entire agitator. Do all agitators have 'free' fins....or is it just this one that I have....and is there an agitator with fins that will not allow strings to go up under and get caught that will fit my machine model....or must I never again wash anything with strings, drawstrings, etc?

If what you have is OEM then that is all there is. But you should not be having this problem so I am not certain what else to tell you other than that they block may be bad and the agitator is riding higher than it should.
