Hello all!

I haven't spent a lot of time looking in to this but figured a good, quality forum could go a long way here.

We were given this washer 2nd hand and I've done a few repairs including seals and the water pump. Recently it started acting up again but need some assistance on this one.

I'll admit it, I don't use the washer much (lucky me) but I've been noticing it getting stuck between modes. As in, you have to bump it ahead to the next mode to break it out of it's loop. Figured maybe a timer issue but I want to be certain as they're fairly expensive.

Not much to go on here and I have yet to diagnose if it's electrical. I do tinker quite a bit in electronics repair and am a mechanic by trade but lack any useful knowledge in appliances.

Any insight or pertinent questions to ask me? Known issues with this machine? Thanks!

This does sound like a timer issue since the machine operates correctly and there are no mechanical issues.

Try replacing the timer and see if that doesn't fix things. If you buy from this site and the new timer does not solve the problem you can return it, see the returns policy.

Would really prefer not to send back an opened part. In my business if I open a part, and especially install it, I own that sucker. I do agree it sounds like an issue with the timer. Looking through the schematic I see nothing electrical that would cause such to occur.

Seems at this point I'll be after a timer and obviously ordering from here as I've had great experience with service in the past. Thanks much for the reply.

Good luck, let us know how it turns out as that will help us respond to others and help others who view this site.

Yes, most places will not let you return an installed part but the owner of APP will is a very honorable person which is why I and others volunteer to respond on this site.
