This is a Whirlpool Duet sold under the Kenmore brand name. It is a great washer but when it malfunctions even Whirlpool factory techs have trouble diagnosing the problem.

Under the top lid or inside the lower service panel there should be tech notes which will tell you how to put it into diagnostic mode and generate error codes. See if you can do that, but understand that in the end you may have to replace parts on spec, which is how many Whirlpool techs diagnose the issues on these models.

I would first start with the main control board. That is likely your problem and if you buy the part from this site and it does not fix the problem you can return it.
