I have a Frigidaire gallery series oven, 10 or 11 years old, model GLLEFS77CQC. Last night while using it, it made a pop noise, then went into clean mode locking the door. I unplugged it and it cleared but there is no heat in the oven. Top burners work fine. Any ideas what it was?

I think your model number should only have one L in it. Here are your parts includes a wiring diagram. Parts for Frigidaire GLEFS77CQC Range - AppliancePartsPros.comUnplug the unit. Check the common wire that goes from the elements back to the control board. If that is OK then the control board (item 20 in section 03) is probably bad. You may also need a new overlay (item 20A) as it looks like it is peel and stick and will probably get damage trying to remove it. I am assuming that you tried both bake and broil modes and neither element came on. |

denman, I took the back off and used a voltage detector, it seems all the black and red wires have power in them. I watched the attached video, it is a different model, different board so I assume that is just to give you an idea of how to do it. If you still think it is the control board, #20, I'll go ahead and order one. Let me know what you think. The top burners work, its just the bottom 2 oven elements that don't work. There is power going to them.

Yes I still think it is the control board.
I am not a fan of voltage detector except for very basic troubleshooting.
You are probably seeing a voltage on the elements but it is 120 volts re: one side of the element is always connected to either L1 or L2 when referenced to Neutral/ground.
What you need is 240 volts across the element. re: the other side of the line must be switched in. |

Thats all I have is the voltage detector. I will go ahead and order the part from you all this evening, thanks.
