Previous threads state it most likely is my water inlet valve. My valve is a single valve with one water line connected. Can a single valve unit be bad in regards to no water going to the icemaker, but still send water to the door water system?

I have looked at the other threads for this problem and they show duel units. I understand if the icemaker valve goes bad how the other side for the door water can still function. But if a single valve goes bad would the door unit not be disabled as well?
