Frigidaire FWS1233FS1 top loader. Will fill, drain and spin fine. Wont agitate. Belt, motor, lid switch, plastic agitator all work fine. Spindle does not move. Don't know if transmission could be broke but still spin tub. Only other thing I haven't checked is pressure switch, but I don't think thats it, because after tub fills it activates the motor.

I also took off the front cover, the motor moves the belt clockwise but doesnt turn agitator. When I turn it counterclockwise by hand the tub spins. Is it possible for the transmission to behave this way if broken?

Thanks, Bob

Yes, the agitator is held in with a bolt. It is the type that does not use dogs and is not broken.
