Carol, I double checked the model #, and yes yours is exactly the same model as mine. The access to that switch is definitely through the side panel. I put some loc-tight on the screws before I tightened them up, so this would not happen again. Good luck, camelion (Adam)

Good luck, camelion (Adam) I got help pulling the stove out, and just as you said, the loose screws were immediately visible. I tightened them, and used a goop to hopefully keep them from loosening again. I attached a photo of the two screws using red arrows to show the location- the one on the left is visibly loose, and I attached a top picture of the aluminum side panel that has to come off. One picture I neglected to take is that there is a dark decorative metal panel on both sides of the front of the stove that essentially fills the crack between the stove and the cabinets. This metal piece is attached with 2 screws and must be taken off before the side panel can be removed. Everything was straight forward but the hardest part for me was getting the screws back in. I was working in a very small place and couldn't get them all back in because I couldn't see. Our stove is near a corner so I had about 10" of wok space. A warm thank you to Camelion for helping with my specific model, and the others for learning about the loose screws. I am completely satisfied and somewhat flabbergasted that folks in cyberland helped me fix my stove! carolappliance attached the following image(s):

worked perfectly and just as the posters described, it took a bit of adjusting to replace the sheet metal vent cover but problem solved.:):D:)

Thanks to everyone on this forum, my oven light is now working correctly once again. Same issue with the screws just backing out and no longer holding the switch in place & triggering the on/off button when depressed/opened.
Certainly saved money on a new switch and it was easy to get off (not as easy to get back on & aligned correctly though). It just takes about 15 minutes total. Not bad at all.

Sappdawgsmom, do you by chance have a picture of the bottom oven? I'm having trouble getting the panel back on, should have taken a pic first.
