Hi, my very reliable GE washer (for 16 years) last summer no longer stops at the end of final spin cycle. It proceeds well thru all the wash cycles, only at the very end it does not stop spinning. Both cotton & perm press cycles.
This does not occur every time.
I did perform a reset of the timer by - which did not help by the way: 1)Unplug the washing machine power cord from the electrical socket.
2) Turn the cycle selection dial to a setting other than "spin" after the power cord has been unplugged for at least 30 seconds.
3) Plug the power cord back in to the electrical outlet.
4) Start the wash cycle over on the desired setting.
Hoping it's not the timer :0(
thank you, any help much appreciated
