Dryer light indicates dryer on and properly counts down but does not start. Replaced door switch and inlet control thermis. Continuity on other 2 "fuses" Missing 2 front slide bearings ( on order). Is this a control board issue? How do I test the start button?
Thanks DB

Belt ok? Check the control outlet thermistor. Should read between 118-122 kohms at 69 degrees. If good, check voltages at control board 4 pin connector. Should have 120vac between orange and yellow, between orange and brown/white and when you start dryer, should be 120vac between purple and brown/white. If all good, check belt switch and wiring/terminals at motor connector. Report findings.

Eric: I just tested the voltage on the 4 pin connector. orange and yellow test at 122. Orange and brown/white test at 122. No volts on purple and brown/white. Am I testing this properly? I pushed start button disconnected 4 pin connect and test purple and brown/white and reads 0. If it reads 0 what does that mean?
Thanks DB

You must test with connector plugged in. We sometimes must use needle tip meter probes to get into the back side of the plug or use insulation piercing probes or test clips. Basically, the orange wire is the hot side (L1) going into the control board. When you start the dryer, the motor relay on the board closes and redirects the orange wire hot side back out to the purple wire which goes to the motor via the belt switch. Yellow is neutral to the control board and brown/white is neutral via the door switch indicating to the control board whether the door is closed or not.
