Recently Noticed Freezer Is Working But Top Part Of Frig. Is Getting Warm. I Do Not Feel Air Coming Out By Top Controls. I Also Noticed Items Freezing In Vegetable Draws. Would This Be A Bad Evaporator Fan Motor Or A Defective Defrost Timer. Where Would I Begin To Check The Problem.

Hi, The Model # Inside Of Frig. Is Tcd18padbaa. I'm New With The Forum. I'm Not Sure Where The Access Is To The Evaporator Motor Is. I Assume Its In The Freezer Section On The Top. Is That Correct? I AM NOT SURE THE EVAPORATOR MOTOR IS RUNNING, I DO KNOW THERE IS NO AIR COMING OUT OF THE TOP SECTION OF THE FRIG.

Here are your parts, I think. This unit has an R between the D and A of the model number you gave. It is the closest match I could find. Parts for GE TCD18PADBRAA Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.comI do not know if I can be of much use to you on this unit as I have never worked on one. Also I do not have access to GE tech data. The evaporator fan is item 32 in section 03. Looks like it pushes the cold air up a channel (item 149 in section 05) and then ou the air diffuser (item 51 in section 03). The amount of air entering the fresh food section is regulated by the damper (item 55 in section 03). |
