Hi,

The light in the microwave is no longer functional. Assuming that the bulb requires replacement, is this a DIY job? Are there any videos or instructions anywhere? I can see parts diagrams but from those, it is not clear how to go about opening the microwave up for the bulb replacement.

Thanks.

Yes, depending on how handy you are.

Are there any videos or instructions anywhere?
No videos that I know of but you could try YouTube.
Click on the picture or description for the lens (Item 19 in Section 06) and the bulb (Item 53 in Section 06) and read the Q&A.

Thanks Denman. I only got around to looking at the problem this weekend. I was able to figure out the removal of the two air vent grills behind which the screws holding the microwave were located. I was able to partially slide out the microwave and access the bulb.
Unfortunately, it turned out that the bulb was fine. I was able to test it with another 12v supply. My multimeter did not show any voltage on the pins of the bulb holder.
So, now I need to find some schematics and or wiring diagrams/pictures.

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

Be very, very careful when messing with a microwave.
The magnetron uses high voltage which is lethal.
