No water in the tub. I replaced the water inlet valve and confirmed that the flow meter was properly functioning by blowing through it and the hoses connected to it. I also checked the hot & cold water hoses and they too are fine . Repairman wants half of what it would be to buy a new washer ! Please help !

Good luck K. I've got a Maytag washer -3 years old. So far I've replaced the temp control switch, water valves, and the entire wiring harness. A little over $250. The machine is as dead as a door nail. ALL washing machines on the market today are manufactured by Whirlpool. Whirlpool only makes one product, many different versions, colors and designs, but they are all the same product - boat anchors, junk and trash.:mad:
