I have a Whirlpool Conquest side-by-side model GS6SHAXKB01 that is collecting water in the tray underneath the water and ice dispenser. You don't really notice it so much until you open the freezer and sling a pile of water onto the floor that you have to mop up. I replaced the water inlet valve and this did did not fix it.

Also, and probably related, there is frosty ice build up between the box on the door that collects the ice and the dispensing part that it rests on. The ice cube box is hard to remove as it is frozen onto the door.

After replacing the water inlet valve, I went on vacation for a week. I shut off the icemaker and the water to the fridge because I did not want any leaks or water build up. When I returned, I turned everything back on and it is hardly producing any ice. Either I did something wrong with the water inlet valve or for some reason, the water is mostly bypassing the ice formation tray and is getting directly into the door or dispenser.

The water dispenses fine. It does not seem to drip after filling a glass of water.

Any ideas to what is going wrong and why this water is pooling up in the tray on the outside of the door?

I think you can contact to Samsung service centre, they are told you what is the best option for you, and solve your problem properly.
