I activate the compactor and it cycles down but when it comes up it will not shut down until I open the drawer to shut it off. I replaced the Top Limit Directional switch. But the problem continues.
I can smell like a burning smell coming from the motor that can be from overworking.

Top limit switch may be out of adjustment or defective. Two clicks must be timed correctly and arm must be bent to right adjustment. Also test switch with multi meter. Also Stop switch at bottom of unit should be tested. It is the switch that pushes with your foot peddle. Other switches on unit should be tested with meter as well. Al
