The microwave is part of a built in wall oven and microwave set. Recently, the microwave began running any time the door was closed. However, it won't heat unless you enter a cook setting. If you allow it to run, eventually something begins to smell as if it were burning. The only way to stop the machine is leave the door open. It still heats items well.

I called a repair service, they said it was too old and they would not attempt to find parts. Hence, I am here.

Any assistance in diagnosing the problem and finding the part is greatly appreciated. The oven part works fine.

By the way, the light on these things seems to NEVER burn out. 3 weeks and still burning strong.

Thanks for the help

In order to provide the most accurate advise I need the complete model number of the microwave.

"Selectra 27" is not the model number.

If there is another model number, it must be located on the baco of the unit. Unfortunately, the unit is part of a combo in a wall oven. The number I posted was from a tag inside the machine. Although there are other marking, none seem to show a model number.

Thank you again.

Unfortunately it is not possible to get any information without the model number.
