Dryer light is out. I changed the bulb and still no light. I tried the original bulb in the bathroom night light and it works great. Any idea what the problem might be? Is there any kind of fuse?

No fuse. Could be a bad lamp socket or a faulty door switch. Unplug dryer, remove back panel and the small panel above back panel. Unplug two wires from lamp socket. Check continuity between lamp socket black wire and the dryer cord connection block (behind small panel) left terminal. Should be 0 ohms. check between orange wire and center terminal on connection block, with dryer door open. Should be 0 ohms. If it reads open, door switch is faulty.

Thanks for the info fairbank. After much searching on the internet for info on my problem and on how to take the front off the dryer my wife looks in the dryer and says "the light is on". She had just twinked the door switch(which I had done several times with no result). I didn't think it was a problem with the door switch because the dryer seems to be working fine. Regardless, thank you for your reply. I will print it and keep in with all the dryer info in case of future problems.
