I replaced the overload relay on compressor and it turned on the line freezes to a point but does not get cold wonder if could be control board or therm state control.

Try the gas pump..maybe that is damaged.

Sorry I do not understand the above.
Check that the compressor is on. You can usually hear it but should also be able to feel it vibrating.

If it is always on except when the unit goes into a defrost cycle, then you either have a defrost or a sealed system problem.
