Hello,
I have a whirlpool duet gas dryer that doesn't open the gas coil no matter
what i do... the dryer spins fine, ignitor glows for a few seconds, there is continuity for the thermal fuse and thermostat, but it just
won't give me the flame or i don't hear the gas valve open/click..
At first, i've heard the gas coils are the most common problems for not heating, so i went ahead and replaced both gas coils with new ones...still same problem, next thing i've tried is to replace the ignitor( i've heard sometimes
the ignitor can still glow but, it could still be bad), no luck... So, the last
thing i thought could be wrong was the flame sensor as it sends voltage to
the gas coils to open, so i replaced that too..No luck...no change at all..
ignitor glows but, gas coils don't open or there's no flame..
so far, i've replaced 3 things(gas coils, ignitor, flame sensor) , i'm all out
of option and very confused about what i can try next...
I'm so sorry for the long post, but so desperate.. Please help me~~~~

Did you check for 120v going to ignitor? Did you check to make sure you have adequate gas pressure coming from your wall? Sounds like either an electrical issue not sending 120v down below or possibly you should of replaced the whole buner assembly instead because it has all those parts in it including a new valve which may be your problem if the ignitor doesn't pull enough amps then it won't allow the valve to open.....Good luck

i'm sorry , i don't know much about reading meters or checking voltages.
how can i check if 120v is going into ignitor?

If you don't know how to check voltage call a repairman before you electrocute yourself.
