My dryer suddenly stopped working. The control panel still lights up. When you push the start/stop button it beeps one time and then I hear a click. There was really nothing that happened, it just didn't work when I tried to turn it on. There were a couple times when it seemed like it was overheating, but it wasn't consistent.
I did a little research on this site but wasn't able to find another person with the same problem. I am thinking that it is possible that it is the thermal fuse???
Thanks for your help. :(

Thank you for responding. I have printed the schematics and have my husband take a look. Yes, the overheating was in the past (and it was intermittent).
I will let you know what we find out.
Thanks, Bobbi Jo

My husband checked it out and it is the thermal fuse. We have ordered a replacement part and should have it within a couple of days. It suggested replacing two parts, but we tested the other and it is good. Thank you for your advice. We should have our unit up and running soon. I VERY much appreciate your expertise and this company for the help that is offered and the comprehensive website. It has everything you need!!! Bobbi Jo

I am assuming that the blown part is the thermal fuse on the blower.
If yes then be sure to check/clean your vent system as this is the most common cause of this fuse blowing. Also check that the exterior vents open properly when the dryer is running.
It would not hurt to check that the blower wheel is also clean. |

We have checked and will clean everything out before we install the new part. We should get it tomorrow. Thank you again.
