If you can't buy the part from any supplier then go to a large scrap metal yard and ask if you can look around. Most will allow it and if its plastic or glass you'll get it free or darn close to free. Scrap metal now is only selling for $30 per ton so I can't imagine the part weighs anywhere NEAR a ton so maybe a buck at the most if you can find it there. The best thing about getting parts in scrap yards is they get hundreds of refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc every day. Timing is everything there because they often crush them quickly so you can just go to one and stand around aLL DAY TILL YOU SEE SOME JUNKER TOSSING OFF THE PART YOU NEED. (Caps key) Soon as you spot your model move in, but be careful. You do go to those places at your own risk meaning they won't be responsible if some fool runs over you with a crane. Just ask permission first. Some will allow you in, some won't. personality is everything though. ;)
Good luck!
