This is probably a 10-year-old KitchenAid Superba but looks fairly new.
Yesterday I removed the bottom front grille and cleaned out tons of
dirt. (The previous owner probably never did it.) Now I notice: (1)
The door edge no longer feels hot. (2) The fridge seems to almost
constantly run. It's still cold inside, though. (3) The warm air at
where the bottom grille is doesn't feel as warm as before.
Did I accidentally turn off the door edge heater (if any)? Why would
that keep the fridge running non-stop? Thanks.

Yong, Since you've removed the debris, the heat and air transfer are proper, and the condenser assembly is working properly. The mullion or post condenser loop is working proper and the "door heater" should be warm but not hot.
Now that it's working proper, it may seem to run more, during the day/ evening, and is probably cycling off at night, when you're asleep, and don't know it.

Hi.
That was a very good thing -cleaning the condenser.
The refrigerator isn't running hot anymore.
Adjust the temperature setting to warmer position and allow
24 hours to settle.

Thank you both. But I watched a few days and I really think the fridge runs longer than before. Somebody told me it could be the defrost timer. Maybe I accidentally put some dirt in it. But I carefully checked what's behind the front grille where I took lots of dirt out. There's really nothing except black metal coils. The model of this fridge is KSCS25INWH00. I searched on Google but can't find the defrost timer.

You have an electronic control board, that determines what the refrigerator needs to do, based on inputs from the sensors, and determines when the machine needs to defrost. It's located in the refrigerator compartment, behind the digital display, it's not likely you got dirt in it. Part number: AP3773712
You may want to review the User's Manual, reset the controls and check the food product temperature in 24 hours. Room temperature can also affect the compressor operation, The hotter the room, the more the compressor will run. Make sure the air flow is not disrupted or re directed by large articles blocking the air tunnels, or articles hanging over the shelves or against the walls. Good Luck and Thanks,

My G E Refrigerator Model: TBX19DIYHRAA is more than 10 years, the freezer was frosting up, so I tried to replace the thermostat to see if will fix the problem, but I was not able to remove the back panel to replace the part. (strange configuration & only 1 screw on it, also removed the ice make too. no luck. Had removed all food and left the freezer door open over night to complete defrosting)
So, I gave up and decided to clean up, condensers, water etc., Turned it back on, seems to be running normally & cool, but the compressor’s been running for 5 hours nonstop, it’s cooling like normal. The cold Setting is a little below initial settings on the dials. I've turn it up to the suggested initial settings. What should I do if the compressor won't stop? Thanks for any help in advance

Thanks for any help in advance Dakine, Cleaning the condenser coil, etc. was a good idea, you want to check and clean it up every year or so, it will keep the refrigerator running efficiently. It's going to take a while before the temperature equalizes and the control starts to cycle the compressor off and on properly, sometimes as much as 12 to 24 hours. Your description does indicate a defrost issue, so you'll need to empty the freezer compartment, and remove the evaporator cover(back wall) so you can access and check the defrost heater Part number: AP2071483
Thermostat Part number: AP2071285
and Timer Part number: AP2061721
the timer is located inside the control assembly in the fresh food compartment. There are more like 4 to 6 screws that hold the cover to the liner, and be careful with the wiring harness, connections and sharp edges on the metal parts.

Joe, thanks for the quick response and advice. The fridge is still running, it's now more than 12 hours?. Anyway, as you advised, it needs to cycle for 12 to 24 hours before the control cycle kicks in. I'll wait to see what happens. I understand that the 3 parts may need to be replaced. Since I was not able to remove the freezer back panel to replace them, would it be fine if I send a picture of it and advice you me how to remove it?. I just do not want to damage anything and make it worse. (called a fridge repair person yesterday, no response yet) Thanks
