Allen, Apparently you've also damaged the hub drive assembly

Part number: AP3892170
Part number: AP3892170

You may want to slide a long strap, belt or rope, under the tub, center it as best possible and use that to lift up on the tub to break it loose from the shaft drive hub.

I removed the hub after the agitator. It is ok but cannot get out inner tub to get to towel stopping up drain. You are saying once hub off tub should lift up over shaft

Allen, Correct
"to remove the basket
a) Loosen the clamp and pull the recirculation hose off the tub ring.
b) Pry out and unsnap the tub ring tabs from the tub and remove the tub ring.
c) Insert the blade of a small screwdriver into the slot in the impeller cap, then pry the cap up, and remove it.
d) Remove the 7/16˝ hex-head bolt from
the impeller, then lift and remove the
impeller from the basket. NOTE: Lifting
the basket will assist in removing
the impeller.
e) Lift the basket out of the washer.
4. To remove the basket hub, remove the
six screws, and lift the hub assembly from the basket."

The tub can be awkward and a little difficult to remove, but not like you're describing it. Unless the hub gears have seized together.
