I have a Thermador CHCV36 electric cooktop. Original dual infinite switch (Harper-Wyman) #414564 (Bosch AP2831995, #14-61-258) stopped working properly about 4 years ago. I installed a Robert Shaw INF-240PX-803 (5500-200) that doesn't adjust the temperature settings accurately (too hot, too cold, etc.)...my wife hates it!
Is there a better replacement for the OEM switch (picture attached)?JLondon attached the following image(s):

Hi.
I don't think you can get anything better than the one you already have.
Simon.

Hi.
Can you, please, post the picture of the original switch so I can see all of the contacts and how they are marked?
Simon.

Picture attached. Orientation is 90 degrees clockwise from below markings. Markings are: ___________________ | |H1 |PL |L2 | | | ||"no label" __ H2 | |__________________| JLondon attached the following image(s):

Hi.
The Whirlpool switch is not going to work. The original switch, as you know is no longer available and there is no crossing to any other parts. The universal Robert Shaw switch is most likely the only thing come close.

If you use the robertshaw 5500-200 in place of the dual switch 414564, what is the connections to make it work as a single element or both elements on always.

The RS 5500-200 is connected and functions the same as the OEM switch...just not as good. The way the switch works, turn counter clockwise (left side) for single element, turn clockwise (right side) for dual element.
