Hello, the other day my dryer just all of a sudden would not start. The timer switch works fine, and when I "push to start", it makes a buzzing noise as if it is sending electricity, but the drum does not move at all. I do not have an ohmmeter to test the current and money is a bit tight at the moment. Any suggestions? Oh yeah, and it is a Capri model from Sears. EDIT: If I hold the start button in for about ten seconds, it will make a click noise and then produce no sound at all as if something has been tripped. If I wait roughly a minute, it will make the buzzing noise again when I try to start it. Originally Posted by: JustinK The complete model number is: 86910100 69101

Sears model will start with 3 numbers, then dot, then another 8 numbers.

Hi. Try this: Open the door, tape the door switch in closed position. Set the timer on, push the start button and turn the tumbler. If the motor kicks in - replace it. (Motor start winding most likely is bad). The motor Part number: 279827
Use the video clip for instructions. Post the results. Simon.
