Back Story 1st. Wife had dryer running and went to clean the lint filter. Pulled filter, heard a clank, dryer stopped and will not restart. I pulled the dryer out, found a 3 inch nail in the exhaust past the blower. Dryer still does not start.
1. Outlet checks out fine, 120 volts on both poles. 2. Start button has continuity when pushed. 3. Door switch has continuity when pushed. 4. Thermal fuse has continuity. 5. Thermal sensor by blower had continuity across similar sized poles. 6. Pulled motor and replaced with new one. 7. When cycle knob is turned, you can hear timer counting down.
Dryer still will not start. Everything seems to check out ok, but no dice. The light is on in the drum. Cannot hear any sounds from machine except for timer when it is cycled on.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Dave

My bad. I stepped away and came back the next day. Although I had checked the thermal fuse, I made a mistake. I tried testing everything again this morning and the fuse was not working. I am not sure how I messed this up, but it ended up costing me about 4 hours of time. Dave
