Hello all, I am new here and please excuse my lack of experience. I have a neighbor an elderly lady that lives alone and from time to time I will take care of any household repairs she needs done. She just talked to my wife about one of the burners not working on her cooktop. It looks like I can get the parts from appliancepartspros.com however I am a little apprehensive about removing the glass top.Is this a difficult job? I just don't want to end up paying for a glass top when I am just trying to help out a friend.

HI. Turn power of. Open oven door and remove screws holding maintop to oven chassis, located on the out side edges of the maintop. Raise the front edge of the maintop and pull forward approx. 6-inches. Disconnect wire terminal plugs from the maintop assembly. Lift maintop from the oven chassis. Reverse procedure to reinstall the maintop. Here are the breakdown diagrams and 02-Control Panel / Top Assembly parts for Maytag MERS751BAW - AppliancePartsPros.comSimon.
